Drawing Plays
Path Editor
Edit player movement paths using Bezier curves, easing presets, and the velocity graph.
By default, player movements between phases animate in a straight line. The Path Editor lets you reshape each movement into a curved Bezier path, choose an easing curve, and preview the result in the velocity graph.
Opening the path editor
- Click a player who moves between phases to select them.
- In the right-click context menu, choose Edit Path, or click the Edit Path button in the selection panel.
- The path editor opens with the movement path displayed as a Bezier curve.
Editing the curve
- Drag the curve handles (square control points) to reshape the path.
- Drag the path midpoint to move the entire curve without changing its shape.
- Click Reset to return to a straight-line path.
Easing presets
Easing controls the acceleration profile of the movement:
- Linear — constant speed throughout.
- Ease In — slow start, fast finish (builds momentum).
- Ease Out — fast start, slow finish (decelerates into position).
- Ease In-Out — slow at both ends, fast in the middle (natural human movement).
- Custom — drag the velocity graph handles to define a custom acceleration curve.
Velocity graph
The velocity graph shows speed over time for the movement. The y-axis is speed; the x-axis is normalised time (0 = start, 1 = end). Drag the handles to reshape the curve. The path on the canvas updates in real time.
Available on all plans.
