Spacing
Visualise inter-player distances using Delaunay triangulation between teammates.
The Spacing lens renders Delaunay triangulation between all players on a team, connecting each player to their nearest neighbours with lines. Use it to evaluate compactness, identify isolated players, and spot gaps that opposing teams can exploit.
Activating the lens
- Open the Lenses panel in the sidebar.
- Click the Spacing tile.
- Use the Team filter to show triangulation for one or both teams.
Options
- Team filter — show home, away, or both teams' triangulations simultaneously.
- Distance labels — toggle numerical distance labels on each edge (in metres).
- Colour mode — switch between uniform colour and distance-based colouring, where longer edges appear in a warning colour.
Reading the output
Short, dense triangles indicate a compact block. Long edges (especially in warning colour) mark dangerous gaps — wide spaces between teammates where pressing triggers can be exploited or where a third-man run can penetrate. Compare triangulation between teams to see which side is better organised.
