iPad & Tablet
Use Tactix on iPad Pro with the full canvas editor, portrait lock, and floating drawers.
Tactix is fully optimised for iPad Pro. The layout adapts to the larger screen with floating drawers instead of sidebars, keeping the canvas maximised at all times.
Layout
On tablet, the UI uses a side-drawer model:
- Left drawer — play list, folder navigation, and phase timeline (swipe in from left edge or tap the drawer handle).
- Right drawer — lenses panel, formation controls, and settings (swipe in from right edge or tap the drawer handle).
- Canvas — fills the full screen. Drawers float over the canvas rather than pushing it.
Portrait lock
Tactix locks to landscape orientation on iPad by default to maximise the horizontal field. If your iPad auto-rotates, go to Settings → Display & Brightness → Display Zoom and lock orientation via Control Centre.
Apple Pencil support
The canvas fully supports Apple Pencil input:
- Draw paths — use Pencil to drag players just like touch.
- Tap to select — tap a player with Pencil to select them.
- Scribble — use Scribble in text fields (phase names, squad names) to write instead of type.
Floating toolbar
The drawing toolbar floats at the bottom of the canvas on tablet. Drag it to reposition it anywhere on screen. Double-tap the handle to reset its position.
