Cookie Policy

Effective: February 18, 2026  ·  Last updated: February 18, 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit — such as your login status or preferences — making your next visit easier and the site more useful to you.

We also use similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage for storing non-sensitive session state on the client side.

2. Cookies We Use

The table below lists all cookies set by Tactix and our third-party providers. We do not use advertising cookies or sell cookie data to any third party.

3. Essential Cookies

Essential cookies are required for the Service to function. They enable core features like staying logged in. Without them, parts of the Service cannot work. These cookies do not require your consent under most privacy laws, including GDPR, as they are strictly necessary.

The session cookie set by WorkOS is essential — it holds your authentication token so you remain signed in across page navigations and browser restarts.

4. Analytics Cookies

We use PostHog to understand how users interact with Tactix — which features are used most, where users drop off, and how sessions progress. This data is used solely to improve the product.

PostHog analytics are configured in a privacy-preserving way: events are associated with a randomly-generated session and user ID, not with your name or email. IP addresses are not stored. We do not share PostHog data with any advertising network.

If you are in the EU/EEA, analytics cookies are only set after you interact with our cookie notice and accept them, or as permitted under legitimate interest where applicable.

5. Functional Cookies

Functional cookies enable specific features but are not strictly essential. Paddle sets cookies during the checkout flow to maintain payment state. These are only active when you initiate a subscription or billing action.

6. What We Do Not Use

We do not use:

  • Advertising or retargeting cookies (no Google Ads, Facebook Pixel, etc.)
  • Third-party tracking networks
  • Cross-site tracking for profiling purposes
  • Cookies that identify you by name or email without your consent

7. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View all cookies stored on your device.
  • Block all or specific cookies.
  • Delete cookies when you close your browser.
  • Set preferences for specific websites.

Note: Blocking essential cookies (specifically the WorkOS session cookie) will prevent you from logging in to Tactix. Blocking analytics cookies has no impact on core functionality.

For browser-specific instructions:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove cookies or change how we use them. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users.
